You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do." -- Eleanor Roosevelt
I have thought a lot about retirement recently - my fears, my gratitudes, and the opportunities. I cherish sleeping in, and the opportunities I have to spend more time with those I care about. I am truly grateful for the fact that I could retire younger than most and explore this great world with travel and excitement to learn what is new. I am however, fearful of boredom and not being enough. I fear I am not challenging my brain enough or that something may happen to us during our travels. But, I am learning, albeit late in life, that life is a journey and fear is to be embraced, not shuned, unless you don't want to experience life at all. And... as my coach Trish Blackwell says and the great Eleanor Roosevelt implies, "There is no such thing as wasted effort."
In July, we will receive our next travel transport - our Travato travel van. We are excited to see the U.S. National Parks via this van. So, we will keep you posted as we start our U.S. travels this summer.
